This half round clip also assures tangle free, perfect swimming for your streamer. It also doesn't hook into the net on a potential last minute escape attempt when netting a fish.
We prefer using a 7-strand titainium wire because it will get beaten while casting. A single strand titanium can snap without you seeing it coming. With a 7-strand you will notice strands coming loose before it breaks. Our 50lb wire is as tough as can be and we use it all the time when fly fishing for pike on big water using our #9/10 gear for pike.
