This fly line will cast synthetic pike streamers up to 20cm without any problem. It's not a heavy pike taper (so not suitable for huge heavy flies or big wiggle tail streamers) but it will do the job in close to mid range casting up to max 15 meter distance. Most Dutch polder waters are 5 to 15 meters wide so for that type of pike fishing this is a great line. Do you like a stealthy approach without a heavy bass taper smashing on the water? Tip: use an Airflo bass/pike 4ft polyleader with this line. The short tapered polyleader combined with ±50cm tippet and a wire creates a perfect pike leader for this fly line.
