Here are the specs on our Brand new pike hook:
- Size: we produced #4/0 and #6/0. The #6/0 is a pike hook. The #4/0 is also great for perch and zander. Weight: #4/0 ±0,09gram. #6/0 ±1,25gram
- Bend: I am presonally a fan of the down shaped hook bend. They offer a great balance and lock well into the pikes jaw.
- Micro-barb: I don't like big barbs! They are a nightmare when unhooking pike. But on the other hand a barbless hook can drop out especially when the pike starts jumping. So my hook needed to come with a micro-barb. Easy to unhook but it won't drop out on a well-hooked pike that goes airborne.
- Point: shark, a pike hook needs to be sharp and penetrate upon contact. So the point on our pike hook is slightly longer, sharp and pointing downward so it will hook into flesh instantly on the take.
- Material: the pike hook is made of carbon steel wire. Forged for extra strength. #4/0 ⌀1.3mm/length ±51mm/inside opening hook-eye ±2mm/hook bend ±23.2mm/hook weight ±0,90 gram. #6/0 ⌀1.4mm/length ±61mm/inside opening hook-eye ±2mm/hook bend ±29.2mm/hook weight ±1,25gram.
- Finish: the carbon steel hooks are finished with a black nickel coating. That gives these hooks corrosion resistance, camouflage and increased durability.
- Made: the hooks are made in China under supervision of one of the leading top hook Brands in the world.
